KAVITA "ALL" ..... I re-edited this video clip a couple of years ago using footage from another music video clip made a few years before that. The clip features a tender gay love story between two young European boys seemingly growing up in the difficult 1950's/1960's period. This version of the video is set to one of the most haunting and underrated house music tracks ever made in my opinion, KAVITA SINGH's "ALL (BOUGIE SOLITERRE TRAGIC DISCO MIX)" which was released on 12" vinyl single only by Flipside Records back in 2001. To my knowledge both Kavita Singh (vocalist) and Bougie Soliterre (producer/mixer) are Canadian although the 12" vinyl release was British.
"ALL" features a nice vocal from Kavita, natural heart tugging violin strings and what seems to me like a GINA X PERFORMANCE 1979 sample from "No GDM" (a song about the original gay queen himself QUENTIN CRISP so in that case the song and video themes are matched quite appropriately!) This is still one of my absolute favourite tracks released this century although seven years after it's low key release it's quite rare to find the vinyl now and unfortunately Kavita and BougieSoliterre are still not household names!
